PT SANKYU INDONESIA INTERNATIONAL Establishes a Strategic Partnership with UNTIRTA for a Bonded Scholarship Program

PT Sankyu Indonesia International has officially established a strategic partnership with Sultan Agung Tirtayasa University (UNTIRTA) through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and a Cooperation Agreement on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at the Multimedia Hall, 1^st Floor, Rectorate Building, Main Campus of UNTIRTA Sindangsari.

This partnership includes the implementation of a bonded scholarship program for students of the Faculty of Engineering, as well as dissemination of employment opportunities at PT Sankyu Indonesia International as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.

In this occasion, the Rector of UNTIRTA, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Fatah Sulaiman, ST., MT., were attended the event, along with the President Director of PT Sankyu Indonesia International, Mr. Ikuo Morino, accompanied by the Director, Mr. H. Dedi Mufdi Mawardi SE.

According to his speech, the Director of PT Sankyu Indonesia International, Mr. H. Dedi Mufdi, SE, stated that this partnership reflects the company’s dedication to supporting educational development.

“This day represents a significant milestone for us, as we are honored to contribute to the advancement of education in Indonesia through a collaboration with one of the nation’s esteemed public universities, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University. So that, we would like to extend our profound gratitude and highest appreciation to the Rector, the Dean, and all faculty members of UNTIRTA for their support in facilitating the implementation of this scholarship program,” he stated.

As PT Sankyu approaches its 51^st anniversary on June 20, 2025, the company remains committed to enhance its sustainable business strategy through the ‘SANKYU UNIQUE’ concept, which integrates three main pillars: Plant Engineering, Logistics, and Operational Support. In carrying out its operations, the company adheres to three core principles that serve as both its guiding philosophy and the basis of its corporate culture: Kogen Jikko (establishing clear objectives), Jimon Jito (fostering mutual respect), and Kansha (practicing gratitude).

Mr. H. Dedi Mufdi further stated that, as part of PT Sankyu’s long-term vision toward 2030, the company aims to increase its revenue by up to 150% compared to its current level. To achieve this goal, strengthening human resources – particularly in the field of engineering – has been identified as a top strategic priority.

“One of the key factors in achieving the company’s targets is the strengthening of human resources, particularly for engineering. This will enable us to expand our presence in major industries such as steel, chemical, and oil and gas by providing a sufficient talent pool. Our concrete collaboration with UNTIRTA – through scholarship programs and guaranteed recruitment – serves as a mutually beneficial model of cooperation among the company, the university, and the government. On one hand, it enhances corporate capacity, and on the other, it supports government initiatives in expanding employment opportunities,” he concluded.

During the event, the Rector of UNTIRTA, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Fatah Sulaiman, ST., MT., warmly welcomed and highly appreciated the collaboration with PT Sankyu. Prof. Fatah expects that the partnership with Sankyu would continue in order to achieve the maximum potential in enhancing the quality of human resources for Indonesia in the future.

“On behalf of UNTIRTA, I would like to express my gratitude for this collaboration. As stated by our Presiden, Mr. Prabowo Subianto, universities must be open for any approaches, including this collaboration, to improve human resources in Indonesia,” he said.

Prof. Fatah, in representing UNTIRTA, also extended his appreciation and gave his fully support for PT Sankyu Indonesia to continue its business growth and thrive in this country, so that it can keep contributing to the Indonesia in the future.
